About Me

I am a UKCP-member trainee psychotherapist offering affordable, in person therapy in Bristol. I believe in the healing power of human connection and relating - including the therapeutic relationship. I have been in psychotherapy for many years myself and I see this as one of the most important resources in my personal and professional life. I look forward to getting to know you and hear about what brings you to therapy and anything which feels important to you.

About psychotherapy

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is a talking therapy. We will sit together for 50 minutes every week in the same time slot and talk through what feels important to you. I will listen and do my best to understand your experience without judgement in a safe and confidential environment. I will be with you in pain, joy and anything in between. Sometimes I will bring a different angle or gentle challenge but always respect your autonomy and competence in "being you".

We will collaborate to find understanding, compassion and healing for you and regularly review our work together. Psychotherapy can be a difficult but rewarding and life changing experience.

Psychotherapy with me

I am interested in your inner experience: your thoughts, feelings and body. I tend to work relationally which means I am always curious about what is going on between us, in our relationship.

These are some of the issues that I have had experience of working with: low self-esteem, relationship problems, understanding family dynamics and difficult childhood experiences, student stress/anxiety, chronic illness, depression, anxiety, loneliness, identity issues, feeling different or isolated.

I am aware of how societal, cultural values have an impact on how we relate to each other and try to remain mindful of this in our work together.
